Meet the Surgeon
Mark P. Solomon, MD
Mark P. Solomon MD FACS has been practicing plastic surgery for more than 25 years. He attended medical school at New York University and went on to complete training in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia. He completed a plastic surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in craniofacial and aesthetic surgery in Paris under Dr. Daniel Marchac. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and also achieved certification by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the leading organizations in plastic surgery including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
His career has spanned both academic and private practice. He was Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and the Hahnemann School of Medicine. He rose to the rank of Associate Professor of Surgery, with 37 original publications in the scientific literature, along with numerous book chapters in medical textbooks regarding plastic surgery. He is one of the editors of the only textbook on cosmetic surgery for men, “Male Aesthetic Surgery.” He has treated thousands of men and women. He is also privileged to treat children at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. He provides individualized care to each patient, putting your well being as his main focus.
